After waiting nine months while Home Depot repeatedly screwed up my order, it finally happened! Two nice Irish fellows came to install this new Anderson door. Even though it is a right-hand opening instead of the left-hand opening that I ordered (one of Home Depot's many mistakes), I decided to proceed with the installation anyway and be done with Home Depot forever. I'm really pleased with the results.
The
old sliding door was very hard to open, so I rarely went into the patio.
As a result, the patio
fell into disrepair - it got overgrown with ivy, and was littered
with cigarette butts from the inconsiderate and noisy Northeastern students
upstairs. The new door allows easy access to my patio, so I can make some
improvements to the patio - and yell at the neighbors more often so maybe
they'll shut up and stop throwing stuff in my yard.
