THE POLICE AT FENWAY PARK
July 29, 2007

Mandie managed to get free tickets to The Police concert at Fenway park, and I somehow managed to convince her to take ME! Here are some photos from the concert:

It was a beautiful evening at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.

The Boston Police were in good spirits, and even posed for a photo near the Dunkin' Donuts sign.

Sting's son performed before The Police took the stage. Sting Jr. (left) looked a little bit (and sounded a lot) like Sting (right), but apparently hasn't been drinking from the same fountain of everlasting youth, beauty, and talent as his father.

Sting Jr. wasn't bad, but it must be really tough to follow in your father's footsteps when he is STING, the greatest man who ever lived. If I was Sting's kid, I would have gone into something other than music, like veterinary medicine or investment banking.

Mandie and I were cool and sophisticated during the opening act...

...but quickly lost our composure when Sting appeared on stage.

Sting wore a sleeveless shirt that showed off his well-sculpted arms very nicely. Sting, if you ever find yourself single and lonely and happen to be reading this, please email me.

I was surprised to see these young boys (who I pictured to be Incubus or Blink 182 fans) having so much enthusiasm for an Eighties band like The Police. Who would ever imagine that one band could unite two vastly different generations in joyful celebration?

A good time was had by all.
