THE BOSTON RED SOX CLINCH THE PENNANT The Red Sox staged a mighty comeback and defeated the New York Yankees to win the 2004 American League Championship Series, and advance to the World Series! It was a great day for Boston, even a fair-weather fan like myself. To prevent a riot like the one that followed the 2004 Superbowl, the riot police were in the neighborhood. So the riot just moved elsewhere, and rabid fans all but destroyed Kenmore Square. Go Red Sox, but everyone else - settle down! |
